 The torque anchor is intended for the fixation of the PCP’s stator in the well’s operational column. It is taken down in the well along with the PCP’s stator and installed in operational position by a 90° clockwise rotation of the tubing hanger. It stabilizes the tubing by preventing it to rotate back during the work of the installation.

Remark : it is not recommended to use static torque devices such as the ZU – 122 in the PCP’s installation.
The use of this equipment may cause the deformation of the tubing inside the casing when it gets longer because of the reservoir temperature and the load changes during the start up.
